Juan Jesus will not be able to appeal the decision of the Sports Judge in the racism case.
According to a report by Elisabetta Esposito of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli’s Juan Jesus cannot appeal the judgement passed by the Federal Prosecutors’ Office. The decision acquits Inter’s Francesco Acerbi of racism charges after the Italian was prosecuted for allegedly using a racial slur against the Brazilian defender.
The Sports Court heard both of the players involved in the case but found no evidence which clearly shows Acerbi using racially derogatory remarks indicated towards Juan Jesus during an altercation in the Inter-Napoli match in Serie A.
The FIGC carried out a detailed investigation before presenting this decision and therefore Juan Jesus will find no ground to appeal. However, he can make a new formal complaint to the prosecutors’ office but it would make no sense to ask for a second check.
