Serie A giants Milan are interested in Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos and have made contact for the Brazilian defender.
The 31-year-old is currently finding himself at the peripheries of the project at Aston Villa and Milan want to take advantage of his current situation. Daniele Longo has reported that Carlos has now become part of Milan’s shortlist of centre-back targets and first contact has already been made.
Geoffrey Moncada is keen on the 31-year-old and is impressed by his marking, heading and physical abilities. Contacts are said to be very much in progress but a potential move has been described as a fairly complex one. Villa had signed the defender for €31 million and they want to recoup that fee, if they sell the player.
While the move isn’t impossible, it has been described as ‘difficult’ and it can be executed. Contacts are taking place with the player’s entourage and not with Villa – yet.
