Serie A giants Napoli seem rather set to land Antonio Conte as their manager and his arrival could see the club attempt to keep Giovanni di Lorezno at the club.
The full-back’s agent recently stated that Di Lorenzo asked to leave Napoli and he has spoken to Giovanni Manna about it already. But the situation is far from simple, as things stand and Conte’s arrival could change transfer plans.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Conte will settle some delicate issues at the club when he joins and one of those is that of Di Lorenzo and the would-be new manager is said to be a huge admirer of the full-back. He is a fan of his adaptability of how Di Lorenzo can play in a back-three or as a wing-back on the right.
If Conte arrives, Napoli will make concrete attempts to keep Di Lorenzo at the club and if not that, his exit could become a complicated affair. His agent spoke about a certain degree of ‘distrust’ from the club’s president being the reason for the exit and it remains to be seen if Conte’s trust can turn things around for the ex-Empoli star.
