Serie A giants Juventus’ move for Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz is gaining momentum as the player is interested in the possibility of a switch to the Bianconeri.
It was reported yesterday that both the clubs are trying to make sure that a move involving Luiz and Weston McKennie takes off and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) report today that the move could indeed happen this summer.
Juventus are said to be growing confident about signing the Brazilian, who has given his approval to a move to Turin as well. Parties are currently waiting to understand if McKennie would also give his approval to a move to the Birmingham club, who are playing in the Champions League next season.
As of now, the difficult part in the move is the differing values of the two players but a meeting could be arranged between the clubs to iron out further details of a potential switch. Last week, Villa sporting director Monchi spoke to Cristiano Guintoli about the possibility of a move and they sought approval of including McKennie in the move.
There are now positive signs regarding the progress of this move.
