Milan continues to look for midfield reinforcements and latest reports claim that the Rossoneri are eyeing up a possible move for Monaco star Youssouf Fofana.
The 25-year-old, who is currently preparing for France’s Euro 2024 Round of 16 encounter with Belgium on Monday, is entering the final year of his contract in the principality and a summer exit now seems likely.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Monaco values their player at €25M. The transfer expert writes however, that Rossoneri chiefs are only willing to go to somewhere in the region of €15-18M, as the player is entering the final 12 months of his current deal.
No decision will be made until after the European Championships and Di Marzio states that the two parties are yet to open any negotiations.
Fofana made 32 Ligue 1 appearances last term, scoring four goals and making four assists as Monaco finished second behind Paris Saint-Germain to qualify for next season’s revamped Champions League.
