Premier League giants Arsenal are now finalising a move for Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori and the move is now in the final details.
The move had stalled for some days as Bologna had tried to reduce Basel’s sell-on clause and there was a breakdown in those negotiations. But it now seems as if the move has opened up all over again and it is close to completion.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Arsenal are now close to sealing a move for Calafiori, with an agreement with Bologna now close to completion. This is the closest Arsenal have come to landing the Italian, who has already agreed to the switch from his end.
The move accelerated in the last few hours and decisive steps have been made, with an agreement to be reached at €50 million. Alessandro Lucci’s work has proved vital in the move and he made sure that all parties were calm and they came together to talk once again.
The bonuses involved in the move and sell-on percentages are being discussed and Calafiori is now very close to being an Arsenal player.
