Premier League side Liverpool have emerged as a key candidate to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus and they could now be willing to meet the Bianconeri’s asking price for the player.
La Repubblica today state that with Barcelona struggling to sign Chiesa and they probably won’t be able to register him later, their deal is at a standstill. Liverpool’s candidature is quite important and they have already asked for information for the Italian.
But there is more to it, with Juve asking €15 million to sell the Italian, who is out of Thiago Motta’s project. Liverpool are ‘willing’ to meet that asking price and they are quite interested in signing Chiesa, who has given a clear opening to the possibility of closing the deal.
Whether the asking price can reduce later in the window remains to be seen, but Chiesa is most definitely on his way out and Liverpool’s interest is quite concrete.
