Speaking to ESPN via Forza Roma.info from the Argentine camp, Leandro Paredes voiced discontent due to being left out of a starting role at Roma during the current season. The 30-year-old cited Daniele De Rossi’s departure as one of the major reasons for the fallout in his attachment with the Giallorossi. He said: “I was very happy at Roma until De Rossi left. We’ll see what happens.”
Upon asked whether he is willing to make a return to Boca Juniors following this season, Paredes answered: “I have not spoken to Fernando Gago, we’ll see if he calls me or not.” The Roma man developed himself through the youth ranks of Boca before being loaned out to Chievo and making a positive impression with his present club on-loan which earned him a permanent transfer at the start of the 2014-15 season.
With Claudio Ranieri imminent to return to the Roma bench, Paredes will hope to regain his form and make himself in contention for a regular place in the starting line-up.
