Former Inter and Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is said to be increasingly tempted by a summer move to Serie A giants Napoli.
Conte has previously rejected Napoli earlier in the season but it seems that things might be slowly changing, amidst constant contact between club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis and the Italian manager. Il Mattino (via CN24) have reported that there is an offer on Conte’s table from De Laurentiis and it was renewed recently.
The ex-Spurs boss was offered a blank slate for transfers where he will have completely control over who he can sign. It is stated that Conte has not received such a promising offer in quite a while and that is why he is fascinated by it. In fact, he is tempted by it and he is seriously considering accepting it.
Conte wants a three-year deal and a wage that could amount to about €24 million across the contract period. He doesn’t want a a contract that ties him down. Relations between him and De Laurentiis are excellent and a meeting between them could take place at the end of this month to talk formally about the offer on the table.
