Shortly after its 61st company anniversary, Betsson Group has announced further brand expansion into Italy.
The operator holds a presence in 20+ markets globally, operating in 14+ countries. This includes its Latin American operations center opened in Bogota, Colombia.
Betsson.it is the latest move in a line of recent brand expansion. Betsson.it will operate alongside previous Italian venture StarCasino.
Current Italian venture StarCasino.Sport is a noted supporter of a range of Italian football teams including SCC Napoli, Torino FC, AS Roma, FC Palermo and S.S. Juve Stabia. Betsson.it will offer sports betting outlets for Italian customers, with markets from multiple sporting activities, slot and table games, alongside live casino experiences.
Betsson CCO Ronni Hartvig said: “Italy has grown significantly in importance for Betsson, and we believe this is an opportune moment to introduce our flagship brand, Betsson, to the market. By consolidating our operations under the unified Betsson brand, we aim to harness the power of scalability. And together with our extensive experience in the region, we aim to position the brand as a leading sports betting operator in the market.”
Having recently partnered with Light & Wonder to help introduce its portfolio into the Argentinian market, Betsson has diversified its Argentine platform betsson.bet.ar which will now offer games such as 88 Fortunes alongside additional Light & Wonder content.
A few weeks ago, we spoke with Betsson AB CEO Pontus Lindwall off the back of its Q4 group revenue posting of $270.3m. He said: “the fourth quarter was a good way to end the year 2023, which was by far the most successful year in the history of the company.”
Live casino will feature as a part of Betsson.it, following the introduction of live casino experiences to its portfolio in December as part of a partnership with Games Global.
