Serie A side Bologna are now awaiting Arsenal’s new offer for defender Riccardo Calafiori, as they look to sell the Italy star this summer.
Arsenal have come close to landing the defender but it seems as if some steps are still to come about for them to seal the switch. Il Resto del Carlino have reported that (via TuttoBologna) Arsenal’s previous bid was at about €40 million and it was lower than Bologna’s valuation.
That wasn’t a satisfactory offer and the Rossoblu want to make sure that the next offer from the Gunners is at 50 million as they want that fee to sell Calafiori, as they would pocket a fee of €30 million from the sale of the ex-Roma man as Basel are also going to receive a sizeable income. Calafiori already has an agreement over personal terms and has given his approval for the move, but an agreement over the fee is yet to be found.
Vincenzo Montella’s side are already looking at potential replacements and they seem intent on selling the Azzurri star.
