Serie A giants Milan have been linked with a move for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee and the Dutchman has hailed the Rossoneri’s San Siro in a recent interview.

Reports recently have stated that Milan see Zirkzee as a priority in the summer and they are looking to sell Lorenzo Colombo to make room and money to go ahead in an approach for Zirkzee, who is also wanted by Napoli. Arsenal have also been linked with the Dutchman.

Zirkzee recently gave a candid interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s SportWeek magazine and he spoke about a range of issues. He also spoke about his admiration for the San Siro, revealing that it was one stadium he visited as a child.

“I’ve been there as a kid once, I went there on a tour with my little brother and parents. It was the first time where I walked in and I could feel the football in the stadium. I think for me as a fan, together with that and the Allianz Arena, those two are probably the most beautiful stadiums in the world.

“To me, it motivated the kid inside me. Because all my heroes at one point played at San Siro. It was just the kid in me that said – wow, I’m at the San Siro.”

The comments come at a vital time, with Zirkzee having impressed at Bologna and he deservedly is being linked with moves away. The Dutchman’s contract has a release clause which applies only to Bayern Munich, but Manchester United have also been linked with the 22-year-old.
