The relationship between Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and Federico Chiesa is broken and is now deteriorating.
According to a report by Giovanni Albanese of La Gazzetta dello Sport, tensions continue rising between Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri and Federico Chiesa over playing time and tactical setup.
Allegri is trying his best to manage the game time between Federico Chiesa and Kenan Yildiz but he is losing the Italian to discontent.
The DAZN cameras caught the 26-year-old saying “I’m always the first substitution” when the Bianconeri manager took him off the field early against Torino last week.
Apart from game-time issues, Federico Chiesa is against the commonly used Juventus formation of 3-5-2, where he is deployed as a striker. He is a natural winger and therefore feels that the central forward position harms his playing style.
Massimiliano Allegri is believed to have had a conversation with Chiesa recently and asked him to score more goals but the Italian international remains adamant about featuring as a winger which might not be possible at the club right now.
