The appointment with the Filming Italy Venice Award is back, which again this year during the Venice Film Festival will award the best films, TV series and talent of the last film and TV season, in collaboration with the monthly magazine Ciak. In addition, the award is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, MiC’s General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual, ANEC, ANICA, SNCCI, APA, Fondazione Marche Cultura, Marche Film Commission and Let’s Marche, Roma Lazio Film Commission, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and 100Autori, AGIS, Italy for Movies, in collaboration with Cinecittà S.p.A.
“I am really happy to announce this new edition of the Filming Italy Venice Award, which confirms itself as a very important event for the national and international film industry. As in the previous editions, we will continue to bring to Venice a unique parterre of guests, including actors, actresses, directors and talents that encapsulate the best of Italian and world cinematography and seriality, and women will represent the vast majority of them, precisely because the Filming Italy is dedicated to them, to all those artists, actresses, directors, scriptwriters, and producers who struggle to assert their voice in this world. And a heartfelt thanks goes precisely to the godmother of this award, Laura Chiatti, a talented performer and extraordinary woman,” said Tiziana Rocca, General and Artistic Director.
The jury includes outstanding names from the Italian audiovisual world: Alberto Barbera, Artistic Director of the Venice International Film Festival; Paolo Del Brocco, CEO of Rai Cinema; Guglielmo Marchetti, President and CEO of Notorious Pictures; Maria Pia Ammirati, Director of Rai Fiction; Massimiliano Orfei, President of Piper Film; Luigi Lonigro, National President of ANICA, the National Union of Film Publishers and Distributors; Maria Giuseppina Troccoli, Extraordinary Commissioner of Roma Lazio Film Commission; Mario Lorini, President of ANEC; Chiara Sbarigia, President of Cinecittà and APA – Audiovisual Producers Association; Giampaolo Letta, CEO of Medusa Film; Simone Gialdini, General Manager of ANEC; Federica Lucisano, CEO of Lucisano Media Group Spa and film producer; Francesco Gesualdi, Director of Marche Film Commission; Flavio Natalia, Director of Ciak.
