Serie A side Fiorentina have now virtually sealed a move for Spain goalkeeper David de Gea, who will arrive on a free transfer.
La Viola had multiple options on the table for their goalkeeping role and Martin Terracciano seems destined to leave this summer. The club’s choice is De Gea.
Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed that the move is now very close and the Spaniard will sign a one-year deal with the option for a second.
ViolaNews have added further details to the situation, revealing that it indeed will be an initial one-year deal with the option for a second. The player has agreed to join the club on a free transfer the second year will be triggered if he plays a certain number of games during the first season.
The goalkeeper will earn €2 million per season plus €1 million in bonuses and the expectation is that the move will go through in the next 48 hours.
