Napoli captain Giovanni di Lorenzo is now likely to stay at the club despite a rather public dispute with the CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis.
Di Lorenzo’s agent Mario Giufreddi had made several remarks about the club’s ambitions and De Laurentiis’ behaviour towards the right-back after the club’s last game of the season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that parties had another meeting recently and the meeting was rather positive, making sure that chances of the player staying at Napoli has increased. The meeting took place at the Hotel Britannique in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and it lasted about two hours and was attended by president De Laurentiis, sporting director Giovanni Manna and Giuffredi.
The atmosphere was rather serene and a final meeting could confirm the possibility of him staying at the club and it would take place at the end of the European championships. Many clubs enquired about the possibility of signing him but things now seem different and both parties seem closer together.
