Serie A giants Juventus lost 1-0 to rivals Lazio in the league yesterday and this has brought about more doubts about Max Allegri’s future at the club. But a Coppa Italia win will help the Italian save his job.
Fabiana della Valle has reported about the Italian’s future, stating that if Juve win the Coppa Italia and finish inside the top four, it would all but guarantee him a stay next season. There could also be a situation where that doesn’t happen and it would cause doubts about Allegri’s future.
If Juve somehow miss out on the Champions League spots altogether and do not win the Coppa Italia, Allegri would be sacked. The club would consider that there is a disconnect between Allegri’s ideas and the squad that he has and he would exit, despite his contract expiring in 2025.
As of now, Juve are rallying around the manager and are supporting him and only a cataclysmic disaster would force them into changing the manager mid-season.
