For a long while, it seemed as if Juventus had all but sealed their move for Jean-Clair Todibo. While they only seemed close to sealing an agreement with Nice, the player was keen on joining them over West Ham.
But now, the Hammers have sealed a move. Alfredo Pedulla has now reported about how the situation has unfolded, making Juve lose to West Ham.
Juve had wasted too much time, it is reported. The postponement from them had tired out both Todibo and Nice, who wanted a deal to be sorted out quickly. At that point, West Ham had offered €40 million and that is all that was needed to essentially reach the finish line.
Juve had, meanwhile, looked at various formulas to reach an agreement, leading to delays. They had offered an initial loan with the obligation to buy that was not acceptable to Nice despite having had a recent meeting.
The player had rejected West Ham in the past, but he got tired of waiting for Juve. Todibo was one of Juve’s priorities and he is now moving away.
