Serie A giants Juventus could lose Bremer this summer and Manchester United are keen, but it isn’t certain as to how much the Red Devils will have to pay to sign the Brazilian.
Bremer, Giovanni Albanese has reported, had received an enquiry from United even in January. The English giants seemed serious about the him but Juve wanted to keep him at the end of the month and did not sell him. But the enquiry was a clear indication of the fact that United are keen on him and are likely to make a move in the summer.
The upcoming Turin derby is likely to be Bremer’s last at Juve and his recent contract renewal doesn’t guarantee his stay at all. There is a clause in Bremer’s contract which will allow him to leave without Juve having any say in the matter. But they could have a say if they increase his wages by about €500k a season.
Bremer is in no hurry to depart but he has never hidden his desire to play in England in his career and that chance can come his way in the summer. The clause in his deal states that depending on the size of the club, the team would have to pay between €60 million and €70 million to Juve. Technically, United will have to pay over €60 million to trigger the defender’s clause. They seem likely to make an offer in the summer.
