Serie A giants Juventus have made a contract offer for midfielder Adrien Rabiot, whose current deal at the club runs out in the summer.
Giovanni Albanese has reported about the details in the new deal, stating that Thiago Motta and Rabiot have an excellent relationship and the incoming Bianconeri boss is already in touch with his ex-PSG teammate. Juve have put forward an initial two-year deal with the option for a third, which can be triggered if the Frenchman achieves specific personal goals.
Another point in the deal is that Juve are willing to make Rabiot their next captain when Danilo departs. The player hasn’t held talks with other clubs and Juve know that, but Rabiot’s mother-agent wants the player to earn the highest salary in the squad, whereas Juve are offering about €9 million per season.
Juve are confident of sealing the deal as they offer the promise of the the Club World Cup and they believe that keeping Rabiot will allow them to spend well on Teun Koopmeiners.
