Serie A side Lazio seem set to fine midfielder Luis Alberto for his recent comments about his exit from the club in the summer.
The Spaniard spoke to the press after their 4-1 win over Salernitana, stating that he has already asked Lazio to leave in the summer and he will have his contract terminated. But he also stated that he doesn’t want to earn another euro from the club and will leave the money behind.
But things might not be about to go as smoothly as the player would like. Sky Italia state that Lazio have been left surprised by the midfielder’s comments and the expectation is that he would be fined by the Biancocelesti. Not just that, Alberto could also likely to excluded from the project.
New manager Igor Tudor doesn’t consider Luis Alberto to be important for the project, with the club expected to ask the player to bring offers to the table in the summer. There is a chance that the parties could negotiate a termination, so that the Spaniard departs like the way he wants to.
