Former Lazio, Napoli, Juventus and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has rejected an attempt from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Sarri resigned from Lazio some weeks ago after what was a chaotic period for the club and he has already been replaced by Igor Tudor. But it seems as if Sarri’s stock is still fairly high as there has been interest from England.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Sarri could’ve could a new role exactly two days after having left Lazio, as he had received a phone call from Nottingham Forest, who wanted him to take over immediately from Nunon Esperito Santo. Sarri was offered a three-year deal and a massive transfer budget if the club survived relegation.
But Sarri rejected the move as he has other plans for his future and wants to take some time regarding his next destination. Forest are going through a difficult time right now after they were handed a four-point penalty for having violated Financial Fairplay regulations.
