Serie A giants Milan are interested in Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic and have made an offer for the Serbian midfielder.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Samardzic is seen as an alternative to Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana and while Milan have an agreement over personal terms with the Frenchman, the demands of the Ligue 1 side are causing issues and that is leading to a need to identify other options.

Samardzic is one and an offer has been put forward already – to the player and to Udinese, as Milan now await a response from both the parties. Milan’s liking for the former Leipzig man increased due to issues faced in the Fofana saga and they could now push for him, with the offer to Udinese at just below €20 million.

Samardzic was close to joining Inter last summer but issues between the player’s father and his agent led to the move falling through.
