Napoli has identified Romelu Lukaku as one of their priority summer targets and reports suggest that the Partenopei now has an agreement in place with Chelsea for the Belgian international.
New boss Antonio Conte is desperate to reunite with the player who helped his Inter side secure the Scudetto in 2021 with the player himself understood to be keen on a move.
Chelsea are willing to sell Lukaku, who spent last season on-loan at Roma, for a fee in the region of €38M, but according to La Repubblica (via calciomercato.com) an agreement of €30M has already been made.
The whole deal is understood to hinge on the future of two of Napoli’s current biggest stars, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and Georgian superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The former, who has a release clause of €150M, looks to be stuck in limbo with many suitors being put off by the fee involved. The latter meanwhile, will decide his future after Euro 2024, with Conte desperate to keep the 23-year-old in his squad despite overtures being made by Paris Saint-Germain.
