Serie A giants Napoli have made initial contact for Feyenoord star David Hancko and are expected to make a formal move for him in the summer.
The Partenopei are likely to make multiple changes to their squad in the summer transfer window, with money likely to be earned from Victor Osimhen’s sale. La Gazzetta dello Sport state that one centre-back will definitely come in and the man likely to join is Hancko.
The Naples giants haven’t started talks yet, but first contacts have already taken place. Current manager Francesco Calzona knows Hancko well from the Slovakian national team and he is ready to vouch for him and his abilities. The expectation is that an offer will be made, with the player interested in a switch.
The Dutch giants want a fee of €30 million to sell the 26-year-old but Napoli’s target is to lower the valuation to about €20 million and the player’s willingness for the move could help in that regard.
Atletico Madrid’s Mario Hermoso is an interesting profile for the club as well and he could be a potential alternative to Hancko.
