Serie A strugglers Napoli have reached a verbal agreement for Juventus sporting director Giovanni Manna, who could become the new sporting director at the Partenopei.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported about Manna’s situation at the Bianconeri, confirming that he’s a target for Napoli. A verbal agreement exists between Napoli and Manna, with club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis keen on laying down the foundations for next season.
Manna, it has been reported, has already given his approval to join Napoli, who are working to potentially identify manager targets and Fiorentina’s Vincenzo Italiano is currently the leading candidate to become the next club boss.
Napoli’s goal is to start next season with Manna and Italiano, with reports stating that the Fiorentina boss will be leaving La Viola at the end of the campaign. Other names linked with the role are Raffaele Palladino and ex-Tottenham and Inter boss Antonio Conte, for whom a new attempt could yet be made by Napoli.
