Former Serie A champions Napoli are set to make new contact for manager Antonio Conte, as they look to speed up the process of hiring a permanent boss.
It was reported recently that Napoli have now given up on the chase for the Italian, who is said to be interested in a move to Milan. But Il Mattino state (via CN24) that the saga involving Conte and the Partenopei is far from over and Napoli seem set to make another approach.
Aurelio de Laurentiis, it is reported, wants to close the agreement with Conte as soon as he can, with the ex-Tottenham boss keen to get back into management as quickly as he can. As a result, Napoli have already scheduled a meeting between CEO De Laurentiis and Conte’s entourage in the next few days.
Conte has made it clear that he would be interested in a move to Napoli and would gladly accept a two-year deal and talks are now set to get underway soon.
