Milan’s Rafael Leao will not be available at a predetermined price following tonight.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rafael Leao’s release clause set at €175 million by Milan in the previous contract renewal will expire today at midnight. Interested clubs will have to approach and directly negotiate with the Rossoneri management if they want to secure the services of the Portuguese.

The 25-year-old did not have a tournament to remember with Portugal in the Euros but he has always shined brighter for Milan since joining the club.

Al-Hilal have previously made inquiries through intermediaries but no offer arrived. Several clubs are in need of a profile like Leao in their squads but it will be a gigantic task for them if they want to materialise a transfer despite the expiry of the release clause.

New manager Paulo Fonseca wants to work with the player during the new season and he even went to meet with him in Portugal over the retreat following the end of last season.
