Yesterday, it was reported that Dovbyk’s entourage was in Rome and personal terms between the two parties were agreed and his agents stayed in the city overnight.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) now state that Roma are ‘one step away’ from signing the Ukrainian striker and he is very likely to be the club’s second major signing of the summer, with a move for Matias Soule already sealed.
Roma are ready to make an offer of €32 million plus bonuses of €5 million to Girona and it has already been readied, with the amount said to be very close to what the Spanish side want.
Dovbyk is likely to be very important to Daniele de Rossi’s approach next season and the ‘green light’ is very close and could arrive in the next 48 hours.
