Serie A side Roma now seem set to land the signature of Rennes midfielder Enzo Le Fee, who will arrive on a permanent transfer.
The Giallorossi were speaking to the Ligue 1 side to agree a fee for the midfielder and now La Gazzetta dello Sport state that the transfer will go through. The fee in question is set at €23 million, with the player set to sign a contract till 2029 and personal terms are already in place.
It would be the Friedkins’ second most expensive signing behind Tammy Abraham, with Le Fee having already bid farewell to his Rennes teammates.
Contacts with Rennes had been going on for ten days now, with Roma finally having to raise their offer to close it. They started at €15 million against a request of €20 million. They got to €23 million, with the Giallorossi evidently lowering the fixed part while raising the variable part (the possible bonuses). Le Fée will arrive in Rome today, even if he should disembark in the late afternoon.
The Frenchman will earn €2 million per season and he sees the move as a significant step forward in his career.
