Romelu Lukaku suffered a muscular problem during Roma’s Europa League second-leg match versus Milan.
According to a report by Sky Italia, Roma striker Romelu Lukaku sustained a minor muscular knock during the game against Milan last night, leading him to get substituted in the 28th minute. The injury is set to be evaluated in the next few days but there are no possibilities of major harm to the meniscus or the collateral ligament as was feared by fans during the substitution.
The Belgian international will be out of the game against Bologna on Monday in the Serie A as his period on the sidelines is expected to be assessed by then.
“He stopped in time” was the message from Giallorossi manager Daniele De Rossi which indicated Lukaku averting a knee injury. The 30-year-old remained to follow the rest of the match against the Rossoneri from the bench as the club environment hopes to have him back in training within the next week.
