Serie A giants Inter’s boss Simone Inzaghi has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days but it doesn’t seem as if the move will take off in any way.

Calciomercato have reported that Erik ten Hag’s job is on the line and if United do not beat Aston Villa, he could be sacked from his position at Old Trafford.

Max Allegri has been described as a candidate but Inzaghi is a priority for the Red Devils. Through an intermediary, United did make contact for Inzaghi and that was also reported by Fabrizio Biasin yesterday.

For now, Inzaghi will not leave Inter. Serie A regulations don’t allow managers to manage more than one club till the end of December, which means that he can’t join another Serie A club till then. Despite that, United’s move for Inzaghi is ‘considered impossible’ and Inter have no intention of sitting around the table to negotiate about the Italian’s exit.

That is with due respect to United, as Inter are in no mood to let their manager depart.
